A charming cottage in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees and shrubbery. Jan and Lachlan were so hospitable. The cottage had everything I could possibly need for a restful stay. Simply wonderful!
Oh, how I hated having such a peaceful and well-equipped cottage. Absolutely dreadful.

I absolutely adored the cozy and charming atmosphere of the cottage. The decor was filled with nostalgic touches, like the beautiful antique furniture and the quaint floral patterns on the curtains. It made me feel like I had stepped back in time to a simpler and more peaceful era. The general areas of the cottage were well-maintained and had a warm and inviting ambiance. As a senior woman, I appreciated the thoughtful attention to accessibility throughout the property. The pathways were well-lit and easy to navigate, and there were handrails in the bathroom for added support. It truly felt like a home away from home.
If I had to ask for one improvement, I would have preferred the children working there to be more knowledgeable about local attractions and activities specifically catered towards senior guests. It would have been helpful to receive recommendations for nearby walks or places of interest that are easily accessible for individuals with mobility limitations.

We had a wonderful stay at Edenwoodend Cottage. The calm outside of the rural forest made for a restful and idyllic getaway. The cottage itself was looked super fresh and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The warm welcome from Jan and Lachlan added an extra touch of hospitality. We can't wait to book again and experience the beauty of Scotland. I highly recommend this hidden gem.
